Customizing A Blog

Tags

I finally sat down this evening (actually very early morning) and watched a few videos on how to customize my blog using an existing template, or from scratch using Adobe Photoshop.

I can’t tell you how embarrassing it was to find that the only thing holding me up from editing the HTML code before was not noticing that on the right hand side of the editor was a whole list of areas to edit, whereas I thought it was all lumped into one giant code that came up as the default (the Style.css format).

Now my first attempt at customizing this blog will be editing the current template, and maybe once I figure that all out, I’ll download one of Adobe’s Free Trials and start with a blank page. I’ve gotten a lot of comments on the header I presently have, but unfortunately I can’t take any credit for it!

I still have a lot to learn about editing and linking my blog to my social media sites (Twitter and Facebook), as well as adding plugins and widgets and using tags and video.

Thanks so much for everyone for your helpful comments via blog, Twitter, Facebook, and email! Let’s hope I’m able to pick up some valuable information for my next post!

Nice customization! You could probably use Aviary.com if you don’t have photoshop if it’s just image editing. :)

    It’s free and awesome.

  2. Thanks Justin! I’ll check that out! How is your weekend going? How are the blogs??
