How To Sell To National Retailers

In the past I’ve blogged about my amazing colleague Vanessa Ting, founder of Retail Path, a consulting company that guides product owners on how to successfully connect with national retailers like Target, Walgreens, and Bed Bath & Beyond. When she and I met, I had no idea how large of an impact she would have on me or my business.

Having previously worked in product marketing for Neutrogena, I was amazed when Vanessa had come over for a walk around the harbor, and when I went to apply some face lotion, she asked how I liked it. Reason being, she had been responsible for the successful marketing launch of that particular product. I loved it, and I guess their marketing worked on me enough to get me to buy it in the first place.

Vanessa was also not long ago a buyer for Target, and in attending a meeting with a colleague of mine with Vanessa, I can see why. She has incredible insight from both sides of the table in a B2B setting, and provided incredible feedback on the product and all of its pricing and options.

Lucky for us, Vanessa is hosting an online event on August 1st on her topic of the month – this one is on brand marketing.
You can register through EventBrite to join Vanessa on the call to learn how, as a designer, inventor asking yourself how to sell to national retailers through your branding and image.
