Favorite Online Tools

In an effort to update my blog more often, I thought I’d share a list of my favorite resources I use online. If you haven’t checked them out, please do and let me know how they work for you! These are all free or cheap, and many are risk free.

1. Fiverr: Get nearly anything done for $5 – graphics, programming/coding, tech support, digital products, voice overs, videos, transcription services, as well as some really random gigs. The only downfall is Fiverr doesn’t allow sharing of personal contact information, so sharing your Skype name

2. oDesk: Hire people for any project without the risk – post a job, or search according to specific location, satisfaction ratings, experience, and skills. By far my favorite outsourcing site in terms of ease of use and customer support.

3. Jing: Free screen capture software for screen shots and video demos. Great for training the people you hire on oDesk, with an automatically generated link to copy, paste, and share.

4. AppSumo: Fairly new site serves as a daily deal platform for Internet Marketing tools. Also has a great referral program!

5. Skype: Free service that allows you to chat with colleagues, but what a lot of people don’t know is that you can use the app on your phone to make overseas calls and voice chat through your mobile device. You can also use Skype for screen sharing, in order to check out live previews of websites, mobile apps, etc before the work is submitted.
